Matte Black Pull Down Kitchen FaucetDo you want to give your kitchen that upscale designer look without spending a fortune? This matte black pull-down kitchen faucet has style and sophistication, plus it’s conveniently functional as well.

This Sleek, Modern Faucet is also Ultra-Functional:

The commercial design not only looks cool, but it makes this faucet easy to use. For example, the neck can swivel an entire 360 degrees.

Therefore, you can pull the flexible hose down to reach pots and pans in a large sink. Or, you can swing the faucet around to fill a bucket, watering can, etc.. This versatile design actually makes washing dishes a lot more enjoyable. =)

That said, if you need to install your faucet next to a wall, this unit works well for that too. For instance, it has a “Smart Handle” that rotates 90 degrees forward.

So, if you’re working with a tight space, you won’t have a problem turning your faucet on or off.

Note: Installation is simple, due to this model’s single hole design. In fact, many homeowners decide to switch out their kitchen faucets themselves. So, you can save money when you do the install yourself. Plus, the faucet itself surprisingly costs less than $200.

4 Upgraded Faucet Features You Want to Know About:

Like other commercial style faucets, this pull-down sprayer can toggle between a high-power spray and an aerated stream function. However, the sprayer comes with a couple of advanced features.

Vido Dual Action Sprayer with Stream and Spray

Vigo Matte Black Faucet VS 4 Others:

By the way, other manufacturers make industrial style faucets with a classy flat black finish. It makes sense to compare and see which model you like best.

Kohler Purist Pull-Down Faucet in Matte BlackFor instance, the Kohler Purist Faucet features a similar coil spring, but the faucet has more of square-shaped design. It has a similar magnetic docking station, but the spray head as 3 different functions instead of 2. (The third function, “Boost”, increases the flow rate by 30%).

Alternatively, the Moen Align has a “Motionsense” wave sensor, which allows you to activate the faucet without touching it. However, this upgraded feature will cost you more than twice as much.

In addition, Delta makes their touch-less kitchen faucet with “touch technology”. Although not as industrial-looking, this single handle model does feature a minimalist, streamlined design in matte black (It also comes in a stainless steel finish.)

Kraus Bolden Black Kitchen Pull-Down FaucetLast, Kraus makes their Bolden commercial style faucet. It looks very similar to the Livingston model with the coiled spring sprout. However, it measures 18 inches tall versus 23 1/2″.

If you have a smaller sink and prefer a shorter faucet to match, the Bolden may be a better option. (This model also comes in a touch-less version too.)

Kraus Pre-Rinse Faucet – Better than it Looks?

The Kraus Pre-Rinse Faucet has a very industrial design. In fact, it looks like it just came out of a commercial kitchen. (Also see the Fapully Commercial Kitchen Faucet.)

Commercial Kraus Pre-Rinse Faucet in Residential Kitchen, Stainless Steel Finish, Model KPF-1602SS

The hefty spout grip along with the wide coil spring and high arch make this spring spout faucet impressive. Actually, it could easily become the focal point of a kitchen island.

Homary Commercial Style Pull-Down Faucet with Spring Spout

Note: If the Kraus is out of stock, check out the Homary Commercial Faucet. It looks almost identical, plus it comes with a matching deck plate.

See how the Kraus faucet works:

This Kraus Faucet Offers a Surprisingly Good Value

Close-Up View of Kraus Pre-Rinse Spring Coil Kitchen Faucet SpoutHowever, the Kraus faucet has more going for it than just its looks. Underneath everything, this product uses top quality components.

For example, it has a Kerox ceramic cartridge to prevent drips. Plus, the spout has a low-flow Neoperl aerator to save water without impacting water pressure.

Kraus manufactures a wide variety of kitchen and bathroom faucets as well as sinks and accessories. They combine advanced technology with cutting edge designs, which make their products look and function like they are expensive.

However, don’t be deceived. Their products cost less than you might think. Plus, they include a limited lifetime warranty, so that adds even more value to the faucet.

What’s the Downside?

These commercial faucets are designed for large, deep sinks. If you have a shallow sink, you might experience some overspray when you wash dishes.

However, you can minimize this problem by not turning up the water all the way when you use the sprayer. Alternatively, you could use the horizontal arm with the aerator, which produces much less splash.

Cost of the Kraus Commercial Pre-Rinse Kitchen Faucet

At about $300, this spring spout faucet falls in the center of the median price range. For example, higher-end models run around $600, while lower-end versions cost about $120.

With all the functionality and style that com along with the Kraus, I personally think it offers a good value. Not to mention an impressive look that will last a long time.

Note: That said, Kraus makes a cheaper alternative: the KPF-1612 chrome commercial style pre-rinse kitchen faucet. It does not feature the cool-looking hand grip sprayer, but it costs about 50% less.

Kraus KPF-1612 Commercial Pre-Rinse FaucetIn addition, this model is approximately 11 inches shorter than the pre-rinse faucet above. Although some people prefer the taller faucet, the shorter version can look better in some smaller kitchens (and it still has plenty of height).

By the way, the KPF-1612 still includes the powerful pre-rinse feature and swiveling spout. It also has a more residential-looking contemporary design.

Plus, this model also has some other limitations. For one, it only has one spout (versus 2). And, you can only get it in chrome, but stainless steel.

All that said, the price is a definite plus. Kraus makes high-quality kitchen fixtures, and I don’t think you can go wrong with either version. They even offer live support at their toll free phone number, should you have any questions. 1-800-775-0703
