Pros & Cons of the Vigo Zurich Faucet (Pull-Down)

Vigo Zurich Faucet - How Does It Compare to Other Industrial Coiled Spring Kitchen Faucets? The Vigo Zurich Faucet has an industrial, restaurant-like design with a heavy-duty feel.

Actually, it looks a lot like the Kraus Pre-Rinse Faucet, which features a similar hefty spout grip.

They both include dual spouts (one spiral coil with spray-only and the other with an aerated stream).

In addition, the sprayers both provide a high-pressure flow of water.

In fact, most of the design features and functions are strikingly similar.

So, How is the Vigo Zurich Faucet Different?

The main difference that I noticed right off the bat is that the Vigo Zurich costs about $80 less. Looks like a good deal to me.

All that said, I have nothing against Kraus faucets. In fact, they make great quality products. From what I’ve seen, the company combines cutting edge designs with advanced technology. Their products look and function like they are expensive, yet they still have comparably low prices.

However, Vigo faucets are not cheaply made either. Vigo is one of the top luxury kitchen and bath product manufacturers. Their faucets have durable construction, plus their designs are refined and sophisticated. In addition, you get a limited lifetime warranty with your Vigo Edison faucet.

Some of the high-quality features included:

  • Ceramic Disc Cartridge
  • Solid Brass Construction (Resists Corrosion and Tarnishing)
  • Memory-Position Temperature Control on Faucet
  • Easy One-Hole Installation, Plus All Mounting Hardware Included

Are There Any Downsides?

Vigo Zurich Faucet, Commercial Style with Sprint SpoutFirst of all, the Zurich does not come with a deck plate. If you have a 3-hole sink, you will need to purchase a deck plate separately or find accessories with which to fill the holes.

For example, some people install a soap dispenser, garbage disposal switch, water filtration unit or instant hot water dispenser. Of course, you could also get inexpensive sink hole covers if you don’t need the accessories or want to keep your costs down.

Secondly, the high-pressure sprayer can make a lot of backsplash if you have a shallow sink. If you have a deep sink (or are getting a new sink), this won’t matter to you.

If you have a shallow sink and like the sprayer design, don’t turn the water flow on full-blast. This way, you can prevent much of the backsplash, although the pressure won’t be that high either.
